Netherlands ready to support Moldova’s reform agenda

The Netherlands will continue to support the reform agenda of the Republic of Moldova, Dutch Ambassador Stella Ronner-Grubačić said in a meeting with Prime Minister Pavel Filip. The officials discussed a wide range of subjects concerning the Moldovan-Dutch political dialogue and cooperation in different areas, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the Premier expressed his gratitude for the interest with which the Netherlands follows the developments in Moldova and for Stella Ronner-Grubačić’s personal contribution to developing the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two states. “We highly appreciate our relations with the Netherlands and continue to count on the Dutch Government’s assistance in implementing the reform agenda, including the Moldova-EU Association Agreement,” stated Pavel Filip.

He noted that the technical and financial assistance provided by the Government of the Netherlands is aimed at priority areas for the Republic of Moldova. In this connection, he referred to the assistance in reforming the justice sector and for the Twinning project launched to strengthen the financial-banking system.

The Dutch diplomat confirmed her country’s readiness to continue to assist Moldova in the reformation process. Stella Ronner-Grubačić underlined the importance of ensuring the state institutions’ independence, the rule of law and the stability and security in Moldova and the whole world.

In Moldova, there are over 160 companies with Dutch capital, the Netherlands topping the rankings of the foreign investors in Moldova. So far the two states signed 24 bilateral documents, 11 of which are agreements in different areas.
