The political leaders must convey a clear message to the people and must make their interests in the negotiations public. Even if many politicians promised that the negotiation process will be transparent, the reality is different. The issue was developed in the program “Shadow Cabinet” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

Political analyst and program director at the Public Policy Institute Oazu Nantoi said the problem of the former ruling alliance resulted from the fact that it declared itself pro-European. The contrast between what the politicians promised and what they did was so obvious that things burst. “If the alliance had been named pro-Eurasian, corruption would have flourished and everything would have been fine for some. Thus, the political equation does not have rapid and swift solutions and we go through a painful process. It’s not clear what will happen – the patient will die or he will overcome the crisis,” stated Oazu Nantoi.

Analyst Bogdan Tirdea considers that the initiation of negotiations by the PLDM is a mistake and the formation of a Government is a catastrophe with immediate effect. “There are yet chances to avoid Moldova’s slip into oligarchic dictatorship. I think that Vlad Filat and the PLDM have reserve scenarios owing to which the voters will realize the party’s intentions in the negotiations,” he said.

Analyst and editorialist Petru Bogatu stressed that the ball is in the field of the PLDM and the group of the seven reformers of the PL. “If there are no conflict situations in the creation of the new alliance, the patient has chances to recover. However, Vlad Filat already failed as the negotiations are not transparent, as they promised,” he said.

In the same connection, the director of the Institute of Political Analysis and Consultancy “Politicon” Anatol Taranu added that political will is needed. A political nucleus consisting of lawmakers and members of the Cabinet should be created to tell the people about the initiatives of the political class. The political leaders should also tell the people that they cannot ensure the constitutional majority and the people would support them by direct democratic rules.
