As of January 26, all the passengers older than two who intend to fly to the U.S. must present a negative result for the COVID-19 test done within three days before the departure day. Showing documentation of recovery during 90 days prior to the day of the trip is an alternative, the Embassy of the U.S. in Chisinau has said, being quoted by IPN.

Also, Moldova’s Embassy in the U.S. said those who intend to travel to the US by air and are unable to provide a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before travel, with the person being tested no more than 3 days before the travel into the United States, will not be allowed to board the flight.

Air passengers will also be required to confirm that the information they present is true in the form of an attestation on paper or in electronic form.

The persons who have a visa for the U.S. and who are inside or outside the European Union are not allowed to transit airport in the Schengen Area and in the UK or Ireland on the way to the United States. If they do so, they will be subject to travel restrictions. The given restrictions do not apply to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents who have a green card.
