The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) imposes a series of measures aimed at preventing the spread of infection with COVID-19 and at ensuring the functionality of the country’s financial-banking system. The measures are needed in order to protect the health of bank employees and customers so that the people could benefit uninterruptedly from the necessary services, IPN reports.
The Bank calls on the citizens to strictly obey the behavioral and hygiene rules. If the physical presence is not mandatory, distance service systems and cashless payment services and instruments, such as internet-payments, mobile payments, cards and credit transfer, can be used through the agency of any computer or cellphone.
The NBM also took a number of increased protection measures, in accordance with the recommendations of the WHO and the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health. Critical operational processes will be available throughout this period. A number of categories of employees will work from home.
The National Bank, the licensed banks and nonbank payment service provider continue work and offer all the financial services. A number of the banks reduced the working hours.
Additional information can be obtained by phone or through the email addresses of licensed banks. The contact data is available on the NBM’s website.
