NBM external reserves went up

The NBM external reserves enlarged in May by USD 34.6 mln up to the level of USD 863.2 mln.
External reserves of the banking system equalled in May 2007 to USD 1144.3 million, increasing by USD 30.1 million as compared to April 2007.
External reserves of the whole banking system totalized during the same period about USD 1.14 bln, increased by USD 30.1 mln comparing to April 2007.
Net international (convertible) reserves of the banking system went up by USD 13.9 mln, and totalled USD 789.3 mln. Within their structure, the NBM net international reserves went up by USD 35.7 mln, while those of the banks reduced by USD 21.8 mln.
External liabilities of the banking system constituted USD 355.0 mln, including those of NBM (to IMF) – USD 133.7 mln.
Net domestic assets of the banking system stepped up by MDL 592.9 mln (5.4%).
In May 2007 the banking system’s claims to the Government of Moldova advanced by MDL 99.3 mln, including those of the banks – by MDL 57.1 mln and of NBM – by MDL 42.2 mln.
