Natural History Museum is Chisinau’s most visited museum

About 100 exhibitions were organized last year in the 5 museums subordinated to the Ministry of Culture, gathering over 180,000 visitors. The most popular was the Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, which is the oldest museum in Moldova, dating back to 1889, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Nadejda Pohila, head of the Ministry of Culture’s Finances and Accounting Department, the Museum of Ethnography and Natural History had 97,000 visitors last year. The National Museum of Archeology and History of Moldova is second-placed with 43,000 visitors, followed by the National Arts Museum with 13,000 visitors. The Natural-Cultural Reservation Orheiul Vechi and the A. Puskin House Museum are also subordinated to the Ministry of Culture.
