The Government has announced the launch of the nationwide campaign “Let’s Go Home on Christmas” and invited the local public authorities and local communities to join in by staging festive events in localities, such as fairs, exhibitions of handicrafts, concerts with local artists or interactive workshops to promote local traditions.

According to the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă, a circular was issued to all the mayor’s offices in the country and to the district heads, by which these are invited to join the campaign.

Traditions will be promoted during the winter holidays. The citizens from the country and those from the diaspora are invited to show by photos and videos how they celebrate Christmas and what memories they have of this holiday. The photos and videos can be sent to acasadecraciun@gov.md.
