The 23rd edition of the National Wine Day will be celebrated on October 5 and 6 in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau. The slogan of this year’s edition is “Our Unexpectedly Great Wine,” IPN reports.
Over 90 winemakers will proudly present their products, from established wines that won medals at international competitions to wines from the new harvest and newly launched products.
Ștefan Iamandi, director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, said that this year we mark an important leap for the wine industry, opening a new chapter of development, where the millenary tradition in winemaking meets innovation and new technologies under the umbrella of “Wine of Moldova. Unexpectedly Great”. The new slogan underlines the continuous evolution through which it is proposed crystallizing the best of Moldova and undertaking the commitment to produce wines of exceptional quality, which would compete with the most appreciated wines all over the world.
This year, the National Wine Day brings a change in the format of the event. Thus, the area dedicated to gastronomy will be moved to the section of Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd between A. Pushkin and V. Pârcălab streets, offering a larger and more accessible space to the visitors so that they can fully enjoy both the wines and the stories behind each bottle of wine.
The National Wine Day is an opportunity to promote Moldova as a top wine destination, attracting thousands of tourists, international experts in the field, but also lovers of high-quality wines.
