The Government approved the creation of the National Council for Determining the Disability and Work Capacity by reorganizing the National Vitality Examination Medical Council, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said the new council will determine the disability both in children and adults. “We aim to help those who can work to a certain extent to find their place and to integrate into society, while those who suffer from irreversible diseases will not have to confirm their disability degree every year,” she stated. The disability degree (severe, accentuated, and average) will be assessed by four commissions. In Moldova there are about 178,000 disabled persons, 15,000 of whom are children.
