The national Under-21 football team of Moldova will play in an infernal group in the qualifying competition of the 2021 UEFA European Championships. Moldova will play the holder of the championship Germany and the powerful Belgium, IPN reports.
Together with Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the three countries form the only preliminary group that consists of five teams. The other eight groups have by six teams. “I think it will be a performance if we finish above Wales and Bosnia on the rankings,” said the manager of Moldova Sergiu Cleshchenko. Moldova plays the first match away against Bosnia on March 26, 2019.
The winners of the group will reach the final of the 2021 U-21 EURO that will be hosted by Ukraine and Slovenia. The national football teams of these countries qualify automatically for the final.
