The Under 19 national football team of Moldova lost all the matches played in Group 10 of the qualifying competition of the 2017 UEFA European Championship. In the last match, Moldova was beaten by Malta 0-1, IPN reports.
The only goal of the match was scored by Friggieri in the 72nd minute. Earlier, Moldova lost to Serbia 0-2 and to Sweden 0-1. Sweden emerged victorious in the group with a maximum of points.
This year the teams of all the age categories – Under 17, Under 21 and Under 19 – ranked last in the group in the qualifying competition. The senior national team also ranks last in the 2018 World Cup qualifying rounds.
