Moldova’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates Victor Haruța was appointed as the General Commissioner of the National Section at Expo 2020 Dubai, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
The decision is aimed at contributing to saving funds for the country’s participation in the world exhibition. The ambassador will coordinate the preparations and will not spend money on trips to Dubai.
Given the changes in the ministries and other bodies, the Government specified the nominal composition of the organizational committee for Moldova’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
Thus, the post of chairman of the committee will be occupied by Iuliana Drăgălin, secretary of state at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, while Natalia Ivanov, project coordinator at the exhibitions center “Moldexpo”, will serve as secretary of the committee.
Expo 2020 Dubai will take place during October 20, 2020 and April 10, 2021. This will be the fourth world exhibition in which Moldova will take part.
