About 30,000 students will take national secondary school graduation exams during June 5-15. About 5,400 other language speakers take the exam in the Romanian language and literature on Monday, June 5. This is the first exam of this year’s session, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Education and Research.
The math exam will be sat on June 8 and will involve over 29,500 students. The exam in the language of study will be taken on June 12. The exam in the Romanian language and literature will involve over 24,000 students, while the exam in the Russian language and literature – over 5,300 students. The exams session for ninth graders ends with the exam in the Romanians’ and universal history on June 15.
Based on the results achieved in national Olympiads held this year, the ninth graders get automatically the grade of “10” at the exam in the subjects in which they won the first, second or third place. This way, six students will get “10” automatically in the Romanian language and literature, the Russian language and literature, and the Romanians’ and universal history.
Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală, in his address to the ninth graders, called on them to believe in the own forces whenever they enter the exams hall. “No matter where you continue your studies - at the lyceum, vocational school or center of excellence - it is important to study continuously and consistently so as to obtain good training in the field of your choice,” stated the minister.
The test papers will be graded during June 6-21. The results will be posted at each of the educational institutions where exams will be held. The students can challenge the results by June 22. The final results will be made known by June 26.
The Baccalaureate session started on June 2 and will continue until June 20. On June 6, the twelfth graders will sit the exam in the language of study.
