The national rugby team of Moldova became more enthusiastic after beating the national squad of Sweden by 50-20. The ‘outlaws’ now intend to beat Germany and to emerge victorious in group 1B of the European Nations Cup.
The players are very motivated and promise to do their utmost to score a victory. “It is a decisive match. We must emerge victorious in this group,” said halfback Sergiu Castravet. The president of the Moldovan Rugby Federation is as optimistic. “It will be like a final. We must win a victory,” Vasile Revenco has told IPN.
The ‘outlaws’ will also think about taking revenge as they were earlier beaten by Germany by 32-14. Moldova ranks third in the group with 19 points. It has by 9 points fewer than Germany, which yet played by two more games. If the team trained by Sergiu Motoc wins against Germany, it can hope to qualify for the 2015 World Championship.
Brothers Victor and Dumitru Arhip will not take part in the duel against Germany as they haven’t yet recovered after sustaining injuries. The encounter between Moldova and Germany takes place on Dinamo Stadium on November 16, starting at 12.00.
