The National Renaissance Alliance of Romania (ARN)a Christian-conservative political movement created a year ago – is presented in Chisinau. Its leaders said the party pleads for protecting the values of the natural family, natural marriage, for enforcing the rule of law and for continuing the European path with a treatment similar to that applied in all the European states. Representatives of the Alliance said they want to implement the same values in the Republic of Moldova by founding a branch here.

In a news conference at IPN, Beniamin Lup, executive president of the National Renaissance Alliance of Romania, said the ARN means alliance, renaissance, nation. “We are now in Moldova and my joy is that we can call ourselves a nation – the nation of those who are here and over there. Someone said that we are neither from here, not from there and we are therefore a whole. The National Renaissance Alliance is a Christian-conservative political party that pleads for the reunion of Romania and Moldova. We plead for national sovereignty and also for our rights and freedoms that no one can take from us,” stated Beniamin Lup.

The National Renaissance Alliance was founded on October 20, 2020.”We are a new political party, but we are growing. We are being joined by an increasing number of personalities. We have many talents, many people who join our movement as we want to gather together both parties and people who have the same interest – the wellbeing of the Romanians, of the nation,” said Beniamin Lup, noting the party is making effort to gather forces around it so as to improve the world and the people. Their electoral symbol is the cross as they are convinced that the values are deep-rooted in Christianity.

He also said that the ARN includes people who didn’t build a political career, but who defend the natural family and these values will be promoted in Moldova as well and he is glad to know that there are people who are ready to become involved in this exclusive project.

In the same news conference, the National Renaissance Alliance of Romania expressed its support for the Furdui family whose seven children were taken by the Jugendamt. Representatives of the ARN urged to show solidarity for encouraging the German authorities to become involved and solve this case so that the children return to the family. Lawyer Peter Costea, chairman of the Alliance of Romania’s Families, said that Petru and Camelia Furdui, who are practicing Christians, are from Hunedoara and several years ago moved to Germany. On April 26, 2021, their seven children were transferred under the custody of Jugendamt – the German child protection service – in the absence of a court order.
