The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) has announced the closing of the consultations within its local organizations and the convocation of its National Political Council for August 31, including for nominating the party’s candidate for President, IPN reports.

In a press release, the PDM says consultations were held at all the local and district organizations starting with August 18. The members stated their opinion on who should be the party’s candidate for President and how the presidential program should look like.

In general, the members of the PDM pleaded for a program centering on the dynamic growth of the living standards, the country’s modernization in all the spheres and acceleration of the process of integrating the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.

The Democrats formulated many other proposals for organizing the team in the forthcoming presidential elections. These were transmitted to the PDM’s Secretariat General for compiling a summing up report.
