The National Philharmonic Hall “Serghei Lunchevici” will host a Christmas charity concert with the participation of Alexa Calancea and friends, “oldies but goldies” songs and many surprises, on Saturday, January 20, in Chisinau, IPN reports.
Alex Calancea will be joined on stage by Tania Cerga, Catalin Josan, Cristina Pintilie, Mariana Bulicanu and other artists. Besides the proceeds that will go to charity, people are encouraged to bring toys, children's books and clothing, that will be sent to orphanages and shelters for homeless people.
The concert is the first in a series of charity events organized by the City Hall. On Sunday, December 21, the Organ Hall will host a concert dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Choir “Voices of Spring”.
A CD and DVD will be launched on Tuesday, December 23, with the most popular songs of the 70s and 80s by Stefan Petrache, Sofia Rotaru, Anastasia Lazariuc, Iurie Sadovnic and others, performed by contemporary artists.
The City Hall is also a partner of the Pro TV campaign “Donate and Win”, which will take place in the Great National Assembly Square on December 23, 24 and 25.
