The National Palace which is subordinated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism sues the World Organization of Talented Children because of the debts for communal services and for the rent of the room from the first floor of the edifice located on Puskin Street, 24.
The Head of WOTC, the poetess Renata Verejanu disputed at a press conference organized on Monday, July 24 the debts which are attributed to the organization, saying that WOTC transferred to the National Palace over 42 thousand lei for rent and communal services for the first 6 months of 2006.
Renata Verejanu states that the true reason of the problems of WOTC is the attempt of some businessmen to obtain the room in order to build a bar or a drug store. The head of WOTC declares that in case the harassments will continue, the administration of the organization, together with the children and their parents will organize street protests starting September 1.
At the same time, Renata Verejanu declared that she will solicit through a petition creating an expertise commission in order to verify the legitimacy of the calculations that were performed at the beginning of the year without taking into consideration the counters and the water meters.
