National Opera and Ballet Theatre to host Royal Tournament

The National Opera and Ballet Theatre will host on January 11 and 12 a concert themed “The Royal Tournament. The Contest of Tenors, Baritones, and Basses”, featuring stars of the most prestigious Russian lyrical theatres. The author of the project is the renowned tenor David Gvinianidze, soloist of the Moscow-based Helicon Opera Theatre. Sources in the National Opera and Ballet Theatre told Info-Prim Neo that the Royal Tournament is not just a concert of classical music, but also a masquerade show. The knights will compete for the love of Princess Charming, who will also be on the stage to host the show and crown the winner. The National Opera Theatre promises that the emotional intensity of the concert will create a magical atmosphere for a genuine singing show, a unique combination of classical music and the popular presentation style, giving birth to a new genre – Show + Classical Music. The concert will also feature the Symphonic Orchestra of Moldova’s National Opera and Ballet Theatre, conducted by Master Nicolae Dohotaru.
