The National Library’s trainers who in 2019 achieved special results in coaching librarians and users received diplomas of excellence. The second edition of the Gala of the National Library’s Trainers was held under the theme “Creating Connections and Developing Professional Skills”, IPN reports.
Ludmila Corghenci, head of the Library’s Continuous Professional Formation and Information Sciences Center, said the National Library has 17 trainers and four of them distinguished themselves more through educational activities and offers.
In the Gala, there were awarded the trainer of 2019, the holder of the most consistent educational portfolio, the partner of the year in the continuous formation of library specialty personnel and the trainer with a successful debut.
Trainer of the year Aliona Muntean, vice director of the National Library, said that 2019 was very fruitful. She took part in many training sessions together with colleagues from the Library and from districts. “I’m a teacher by occupation and I’m eager to share knowledge. I like doing this. I think that if you have knowledge, you must disseminate and share it by all means,” stated the trainer.
National Library director general Elena Pintilei is the holder of the most consistent educational portfolio. She said she chose to be a librarian as she loves books and reading. It is a pleasure for her to teach others who, for their part, can put into practice the knowledge acquired with the assistance of a librarian.
The Trainers Gala is aimed at improving the functionality and performance of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova. It is designed to stimulate the continuous professional formation of specialty personnel and to encourage the staffs that learn not only for themselves, but also for mates.
