The Cabinet approved the National Immunization Program for 2016-2020, which includes the main commitments of the state in ensuring the vaccination of children against preventable diseases, IPN reports.
The total budget of the program is over 235 million lei. The money will be allocated from the state budget, the mandatory health insurance funds and the budgets of the local public authorities. About 14 million lei are to be allocated by the World Heath Organization and the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund.
In the same meeting, the Cabinet accepted the National Program on the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections for 2016-2020. The program envisions measures to prevent infections, to ensure universal access to treatment and care for persons with HIV. The costs are estimated at over 1 billion lei and will be covered with money from the state budget and foreign donations.
