The Independence Day and the National Language Day will not be celebrated in the Gagauz autonomy. No concerts or other cultural and artistic activities will be organized in the province.
Gheorghi Ialanji, head of the Gagauz bashkhan's press service, told IPN that the administration in Comrat decided not to organize any festivities because they think the celebrations in Chisinau are sufficient.
Ialanji said that there are some sport events scheduled for August 27 in Ceadir-Lunga, but they aren't related to the Independence Day.
