The national football team of Moldova will play a friendly against Norway on January 15 and another one against Poland on January 20. Both of the matches will take place in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
In these games, the ‘tricolors’ will be directed by coach Ion Caras, whose contract was extended for another two years on December 11. “We will make effort to qualify for the EURO 2016. It would be an extraordinary result for the national team of Moldova,” coach Ion Caras has told IPN.
Moldova also met Poland in the preliminaries of the 2014 World Cup, scoring a draw and a defeat. Until now the ‘tricolors’ have played Poland five times and never won. Moldova also won no match against Norway, with which it had four encounters.
The friendlies against Norway and Poland will represent a preparatory stage for the EURO 2016. On March 5, Moldova plays a friendly against Andorra.
