The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission will have a meeting today or tomorrow at the latest to reiterate particular restrictions given the current political circumstances in Moldova and the annulment of the state of emergency, acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi said at the beginning of the Cabinet meeting, IPN reports.

According to Aureliu Ciocoi, the Commission should reiterate particular restrictions so as to maintain the positive dynamics as regards the diminution of the number of new COVID-19 cases. “I hope a lot that if not today, as my colleagues are formulating the appropriate restrictions, tomorrow at the latest we will convoke the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission so as to come up with sanitary-epidemiological measures that are absolutely necessary for maintaining the positive dynamics,” stated the official.

The Constitutional Court on April 28 annulled the decision to declare a state of emergency in Moldova. The state of public health emergency declared by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission expired on April 18. Therefore, there is no valid decision as to the measures or restrictions related to COVID-19.
