The National Chess Academy of Moldova has launched the project “Discover your child” that is aimed at discovering and promoting children who can become proficient in chess. Until November 1, the children younger than seven can take free chess lessons. The best students will receive diplomas, IPN reports.
The Academy’s representative and initiator of the project, chess lecturer Ion Garnet said chess becomes more popular among children. Chess playing at the age of 4-7 helps children to easier assimilate the school program and will represent enormous support for them in the future, regardless of the area of activity they will choose.
Currently, training centers work at secondary school No. 7 situated at 34 Milesti St in Chisinau’s Centru sector, and at the lyceum “Gaudeamus” located at 14/4 Petru Zadnipru St in Ciocana district.
Those who want can register on the official website of the National Chess Academy.
