The National Business Agenda (NBA) of Moldova, which brings together over 30 business associations and chambers of trade, is concerned about the delay in the process of forming the bodies of the state power and in implementing the necessary reforms, IPN reports, quoting a statement issued by the NBA.
“In the current conditions of political instability and uncertainty, when the state institutions serve the power, and in the absence of an adopted state budget, the quality of the business environment worsened significantly. The bodies of the state power ‘play’ with the rules, but do not ‘play’ according to the rules. The relations between the business community and the bodies of the state power become much more difficult. There are higher risks of deviation from the generally accepted ethical norms of business conduct,” reads the statement.
The NBA pleads for making the authorities more responsible in relation to society, increasing transparency in the decision-making process at all the levels, including at the stage of forming the bodies of the state power, and urges immediately implementing the reform measures so that their effect is felt by the population and the business community. The proposals of the NBA, as the representative of the most active part of society, were presented and were already included in the draft government program.
The National Business Agenda of Moldova was launched by the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul” in November 2008 with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise.
