The governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) Anca Dragu won the excellence award at the Romanian Excellence Awards Gala, an event to appreciate the leaders who actively contribute to the development of society. The ceremony took place at the Royal Palace in Bucharest and brought together almost 180 personalities from different countries, IPN reports.
Anca Dragu dedicated the award to the NBM team and to all those who support the European path of the Republic of Moldova: "This award belongs to the NBM team, which plays an essential role in the European integration process. I also dedicate it to all those who support this path, contributing to a prosperous and stable future for the Republic of Moldova," stated the NBM governor.
In her speech, Anca Dragu emphasized the NBM’s strategic role in supporting the reforms necessary for accession to the European Union. Economic and financial stability remain priorities for the institution: "Monetary policy measures and financial stability are crucial for the Republic of Moldova to follow its European path. The NBM team is dedicated to this goal, constantly working to align with European standards and strengthen a modern and resilient financial system," said the official.
The Excellence Gala was organized by the Department of Sustainable Development of Romania, the National Institute of Statistics and the MediaUno Press Group. The event highlighted the cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova in promoting European values and regional economic integration.
