The Polyvalent Hall hosted Moldova’s open athletics championships that involved about 250 athletes, IPN reports.
The only foreigner who took part in the competitor won the hammer throw event. Ukrainian athlete Gleb Piskunov scored the resuts of 77.72 meters, surpassing Sergey Marghiev whose result was 76.24 meters. The women’s competition was won by Zalina Petrivskaya with the result of 70.78 meters. Sergey and Zalina, who are brother and sister, have qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Diana Podoleanu and Alexandru Zatic won the 60 m and 200 m races. Nina Capațîna, Ecaterina Cernat and Mihaela Botnari won by two medals.
