The soldiers of the National Army will have a new military uniform. The Cabinet approved the President’s draft agreement on the military uniform, which provides for the replacement of the old uniform with uniform of a new model, IPN reports.
Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatyi in the Cabinet’s meeting said the approval of the given agreement will ensure the creation of a uniform model of a high quality, which will be functional and convenient for the National Amy’s militaries involved in training or in international peacekeeping missions.
There will also be introduced new elements to the military uniform.
It is proposed that the Ministry of Defense should be empowered to approve the military uniform and the rules of wearing the uniform.
According to the minister, the decree was drafted in connection with the objectives to modernize the National Army and to adjust the military uniform to the current needs.
The new military uniform will start to be introduced after the existing uniform stores are used up.
The militaries in Moldova wear four types of military uniform: gala, parade and ceremonial, training, and sport.
