National Army militaries decorated by US Govern

The United States of America Government has awarded with the “Distinguished Service” medal a group of military men of Moldovan National Army, which have participated in the post-conflict operations in Iraq, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to National Army press service, at the awarding ceremony, Thomas Butler, the United States Defence military attaché, has mentioned that US has a high respect for Moldovan military men that have helped enormously during the humanitarian operations in Iraq as well as for Moldova’s contribution towards global struggle against terrorism. “These militaries have proven a high level of professionalism when executing the entrusted missions, gaining the deepest appreciation from the commandment of the coalition force”, said Thomas Butler at the awarding ceremony. Recently after the UN Security Council has been addressed another request from the Iraqi Government, officials from the Republic of Moldova have decided on continuing the humanitarian mission, dispatching another 11 military men to Iraq.
