Independent candidate for President Natalia Morari kicked off her election campaign. Together with her supporters, on the Leova-Bumbata road, which he considers a symbolic place and a clear example of the corruption and lack of transparency in the current government, Morari announced a “program of changes” called “New Moldova”, IPN reports.
The candidate said that she wants to be the President of the new generation and her slogan for the election is “Change here and now”. “I will be the President of the new generation and I will not hesitate to tell you the truth. I will not divide the people into “ours” and “yours”. I will work for all of you. I am not going to promise you rivers of milk and banks of honey. I tell you from the start: there will be no freebie. We will have to work very hard,” said the candidate.
Natalia Morari noted that there can be no large pensions without a developed economy, decent salaries for teachers and doctors without profitable businesses and quality medicine without economic growth. Grants and loans are not viable solutions. “We must learn to earn our own money,” she stressed.
“I am going into this campaign with the “New Moldova” program, an ambitious plan meant to bring radical and rapid changes, with the help of which I aim to transform the country from the ground and raise it to the standards of a modern European nation. These are quick, clear, well-thought-out reforms that provide an almost immediate effect. It is a clear plan of action in every area of social life. All this is part of a great plan to transform our country.”
The presidential election in the Republic of Moldova will take place on October 20. In the ballot paper, Natalia Morari closes the list of candidates, being the eleventh.
