Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman is paying a working visit to Italy on April 22-24. She will have meetings with her Italian counterpart Federica Mogherini, Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano, Minister of Labor and Social Policies Giuliano Poletti, and the heads of the foreign affairs commissions of both of the chambers of the Italian legislature Pier Ferdinando Casini and Fabrizio Cicchitto, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Florien Affairs and European Integration, the discussions with the Italian officials will center on the objectives of Moldova’s European agenda, given the future Italian presidency of the Council of the European Union. In the meetings, there will be discussed possibilities of strengthening the political dialogue and of diversifying bilateral cooperation in different areas.
Natalia Gherman will also meet with representatives of the Moldovan community in Italy.
