Natalia Gavrilița, who was nominated for Prime Minister again by President Maia Sandu, said she wants the second attempt to vote in the Government to fail again so that snap parliamentary elections could be triggered. She made it clear that she will not have consultations with the parliamentary groups so as to ask for their vote and noted that Maia Sandu will never nominate for premiership a candidate proposed by a dubious group of people, IPN reports.

After the first attempt to invest the Government failed and she didn’t get any vote from the MPs, Natalia Gavrilița said she will go again to Parliament for the second attempt, as the law provides. Before the second attempt to vote in the Government, the government program could be improved.

“We will discuss with the colleagues from the PAS and from the proposed Government and will discuss the subsequent steps. When it is the case, we will come to Parliament. We will not hurry up,” Natalia Gavrilița stated in the talk show “In Depth” on ProTV channel.

Moreover, she does not intend to have consultations with the parliamentary groups as she does not want their vote in Parliament given the intention to induce snap elections.

Natalia Gavrilița commented also on President Sandu’s refusal to nominate the Socialists’ candidate for Prime Minister Mariana Durleșteanu, saying Maia Sandu will never promote persons supported by a corrupt parliamentary majority to posts.

“The Socialists, together with the MPs of the Shor Party and with the turncoats could find 67 votes to initiate the suspension of the President for a month and a referendum. This means we will again come before the people to see what they want. But I think it’s much better if we are judged by the people at snap elections,” stated the candidate.

The Party of Socialists said Maia Sandu’s refusal to nominate a candidate supported by 54 MPs is an attempt to usurp state power. They announced they will challenge the President’s decree to nominate again Natalia Gavrilița for premiership to the Constitutional Court.
