The Council for strategic institutional development of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu" published the names of the seven participants in the contest for the position of rector of the university. The contest takes place due to the expiration, on October 9, 2019, of the mandate of current USMF rector, Ion Ababii.
Emil Ceban, Ghenadie Curocichin, Mihail Gavriliuc, Evghenii Guțu, Olga Tagadiuc, Anatolie Vișnevschi and Grigore Zapuhlîh have put forward their candidacy to the competition. All the candidates are doctors in medical sciences.
The activity programs of eligible candidates will be published on the university's website.
The Council for strategic institutional development states that the rector election contest of the USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu" is carried out in accordance with the normative acts. The procedure is transparent and objective, based on meritocracy. The elections will be made by universal, direct, secret and free vote expressed by the members of the academic community with voting rights.
