The domestic users served by “Premier Energy” SRL, who are connected to low voltage power lines, of 0,4 kV, will pay an electricity tariff of 1.68 lei/kWh, by 0.21 lei less than until now. The decision was taken by the Administration Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) on July 31, IPN reports.

The household users served by “Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord” will pay 2.14 lei/kWh, by 0,085 lei/less.

The lowering of tariffs was possible owing to the reduction in the average purchase price of power, from 1.63 lei/kWh to 1.46 lei/kWh or 10%. The decision was also influenced by the 7% decrease in the purchase price of power and the positive tariff deviations accumulated until July 1, 2020. The evolution of the average annual exchange rate of the national currency against the U.S. dollar was another factor.

Also today, the NAER approved the tariff of the electric power supplied to other categories of end users. For the end users of “Premier Energy” SRL connected to medium voltage powers lines, of 6–10 kV, the tariff is 1.32 lei/kWh, by 0.212 lei/kWh or 13.8% less than at present. For the end users connected to high voltage powers lines, of 35–110 kV, the tariff was approved at 1.17 lei/kWh, by 0.206 lei/kWh less than at present.

For the end users of “Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord” connected to medium voltage powers lines, of 6–10 kV, the tariff is 1.57 lei/kWh, by 0.064 lei/kWh less.

The new regulated prices and tariffs for the supply and distribution of electricity will take effect when they are published in the Official Gazette.
