The National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) approved the natural gas trading platform operated by SRL “BRM East Energy” for a period of three years. According to the institution, the platform is created with the aim of improving liquidity and transparency on the wholesale natural gas market in the Republic of Moldova and of increasing its attractiveness for potential new suppliers, IPN reports.
The trading platform is an electronic platform provided and exploited by an operator through the agency of which the participants can place and accept bids to sell/purchase the necessary natural gas, having also the right to review and withdraw bids.
At the request of NAER, SRL “BRM East Energy” presented a number of documents to confirm the capacity to operate trading platforms. The company is to use a specialized IT platform provided by BRM (Romania) based on a licensing agreement.
