The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History is staging the tenth “Third Day after Easter” exhibition on April 17 – May 27. It includes traditional Easter objects made by children of creation centers, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Among the exhibits are an old church book, religious objects and painted eggs. They belong to the museum and private collections. “For the exhibition to be more attractive, we included works made by children under the theme “Easter holyday in children’s view,” said the head of the Exhibitions Division Valentina Onofriesc.
The works were made by children of the creation center of the Association “Filocalia” in Costesti, Ialoveni, and of students of the Esthetic Exhibitions Center “Lastarel” in Chisinau.
“We made a rocking chicken, painted eggs and prepared several songs for the opening of the exhibit. We decided to take part in this event because it allows us to show what we feel by our works. We want to bring peace to everyone by our works,” said Mihai Levinte from Costesti.
During the exhibition, a number of folk groups will give recitals. “It became a tradition for our creation center to cooperate with the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History before the holidays. We brought a large egg made by people who come to the creation center in Costesti. The choir “Anastasyos” will sing several exceptional pastoral songs,” said the bishop of Saint Nicolae Church of Costesti Vasile Ciobanu.
Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge.
