Murder over one too many

The police has arrested a man suspecting of stabbing a 25-year-old woman from Costuleni village of Ungheni district. The corpse was found on October 28, as it had a cutting would in the throat area, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Interior Ministry. The suspect is 54 and lives in the same village. The man acknowledged he had payed a visit to the woman to chat over a drink. Suddenly the two started to fight. The man took a knife and stabbed the victim. The cut proved to be deadly. The man says he threw the body in a pit 5 km from the village, taking it there in his car. The suspect may be sentenced to 20 years in jail. Since the beginning of 2008, the police has registered 136 murders in Moldova.
