Munitions discovered in house of departed man

The police were informed about a batch of munitions that was found in Comrat, in the house of a man who recently passed away. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the munitions probably date from the armed conflict on the Nistru, Info-Prim Neo reports. Police officers searched the house after the man’s relatives discovered the arms and alerted the police. The police in Comrat seized over 3,000 cartridges of different calibers, 400 warheads and almost 1 kilogram of TNT. There were also found anti-infantry mines, smoke grenades, RGD-5 grenades, antigas masks, and magazines for Kalashnikov guns. The munitions will be destroyed.
