Municipality to involve Chisinau citizens in cleaning up the city by Easter

Economic entities, students from different educational institutions and other Chisinau residents will be involved in cleanup activities of the capital before Easter. An ordinance in this respect was signed by the interim mayor Veaceslav Iordan, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press-release from the municipality, Iordan requested the representatives of the City Hall in Chisinau districts to ensure to participation of the citizens in cleanup activities, cleaning the private sector, including agreements with the municipal enterprise “Autosalubritate” on waste disposal, as well as stimulating the dwellers of apartment blocks regardless of their social or any other rank. The local administration is also required to draw up within a 3 day-term a plan of activities on cleaning up the city. The interim mayor has also proposed creating committees to inspect districts so as to evaluate the hygienic situation of the city as a whole. At the same time, Iordan requested the suburban mayoralties to ensure a salubrious situation in the suburbs part of the Chisinau municipality.
