The heavy precipitation left numerous potholes in Chisinau. The municipality decided to plug these up with cold asphalt primarily on the streets where public transport runs. The subject was discussed in the weekly meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
The head of the General Urban Mobility Division Vitalie Mihalache said that works were performed last week to fix the damaged sections. But the sleet and rain continued and potholes keep forming. Filling works were carried out on an area of 180 square meters. If the weather is favorable, the works will continue.
“We have sufficient supplies of cold asphalt at municipal enterprises,” stated Vitalie Mihalache.
