Municipality opts for repairing pre-university institutions

The schools of Chisinau municipality will be repaired, starting the next year. In this sense, 10 schools from each district will be selected, needing primordial repairing, the interim, Vasile Ursu, announced about this on Monday, June 19. According to him, the schools will be repaired in the light of streets’ general repairing, performed this year, in the center of the capital. He mentioned that even if the municipality spends every year millions of lei for current repairing of the pre-university institutions, they are still not fit, as cosmetic interventions are not sufficient for repairing all shortcomings. The mayor highlighted this according to the information submitted by the head of Education, Science, Youth and Sport Department, Alexandru Roman, who mentioned that, at the operative meeting, rains have affected the roofs of many schools of the municipality. Roman noted that the repairing works of the roofs of these schools were not included in the financial report for this year’s repairing woks. The mayor required, at the special mayoralty Wednesday meeting, that all principals of pre-university institutions of municipality present a list of primordial needs of current reparations. These needs will be included in the financial report of the second tranche of 15 million lei, allotted from the local budget for reparations of the school. The first phase, 7 million lei, was already provided. Until now contests were organized to select businessmen which started the repairing works in pre-university institutions of the municipality. 330 pre-university institutions work in the municipality.
