Municipality Chisinau could have its own nursery of trees and bushes

Parliament approved on Thursday, 23 February, in first reading of transferring over 200 hectares of land in use of the Association of Green Spaces Management (AGSV) of municipality Chisinau. The land is of the National Institute for Zoo technique and Veterinary Medicine. According to Stefan Crigan, deputy manager of Land Relations and Survey Agency, because of insufficient finances, this land is not used according to the destination. On the other hand, local public administration of Chisinau is forced to purchase trees and other planting material from businessmen of other localities, thing that has an impact on the high price of the latter one. Thus, Green Spaces management Association could raise its own material. Having the nursery near Chisinau the cost of the planting material will be 2-3 times less, he noted. The area of the land that shall be used by AGSV provoked discussions in the parliament. It is talked about 267 hectares in the papers, when after geodesic surveys, it was set the area of the land is 215 hectares. Many deputies asked explanations regarding this inexact, but Crigan could not offer any information.
