Road traffic in Chisinau moves under normal conditions, and public transport runs according to the schedule on a working day, IPN reports.
In connection with Sunday evening’s snowfall, the local authorities inform that the road maintenance company "Exdrupo" spread anti-skid material to prevent the formation of ice on the streets of the capital city and in the suburbs, involving 18 vehicles.
Workers of the Public Amenities Division during the night scattered anti-skid material on sidewalks and on access roads in courtyards of apartment buildings with salt spreaders and equipment.
Also, the municipal services early on Monday morning intervened with 11 machines to prevent the formation of ice in parks and squares, said the Chisinau City Hall.
The economic agents and building managers in Chisinau are urged to intervene and help de-ice the areas where they operate.
