The Chisinau City Hall has launched a platform to provide inform ion and help Ukrainian refugees called help.chisinau Those interested can use this to obtain information about services, placement centers, medical assistance, activities for children, jobs, bank details for making donations to refugees, the things needed by refugees and about possibilities of becoming volunteers, IPN reports.
“There will also be a connection with the platform designed by the central authorities so as to maximize the information and assistance efforts. As we said, the platform will present updated information depending on the new data and needs. We are making every effort to manage this situation swiftly and to offer this information speedily, topically and accurately. The other national resources will be introduced on the platform so as to ensure access to them,” Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services.
The mayor noted that 292 students from Ukraine were enrolled at about 40 schools so far, while 21 Ukrainian children attend kindergartens. Three Ukrainian teachers and a doctor were employed in the municipal education system.
Donations for refugees, such as clothing, footwear and hygiene products, can be taken to a special storehouse. As the refugees were logged not only at placement centers, but also in families, the municipality will work out a mechanism for distributing by a parcel with necessary things to private individuals too. The goods will be offered on the presentation of the passport under strict monitoring. The distribution procedure will be launched by the end of this week.
