Employees of Chisinau's trolleybus company (RTEC) came again on July 10 to the city hall to ask for a solution to their work conflict. They complain about the company's manager Gheorghe Morgoci and ask his dismissal. After talking to the general mayor two weeks ago, now they address the municipal councilors, Info-Prim Neo reports. Gheorghe Morgoci was appointed by mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. Later the Municipal Council (CMC) announced a contest for the office, but Dorin Chirtoaca sued the decision which is now pending. On July 8, the Supreme Court of Justice decided that the Chisinau Court of Appeals should judge the case again. The RTEC employees are divided. Some back the present manager, as the other side wants him ousted, charging him with bad management. “When Vasile Rudai was a manager, the vehicles were good and the salaries – decent,” says Maria Chiu, a ticket inspector . “In a year, the new manager decreased our salaries and workloads. We do not agree it's the global crisis to blame. The RTEC administration gets salaries from 15 to 20 thousand lei, while the ordinary employees -- 1500 - 3000 lei,” Maria Chiu complains. “We are not interested in the political affiliation of the manager. We want him to care about the employees' interests,” said another inspector, Maria Antoci. “We are sorry that the councilors care only about their interests,” the woman said. Gheorghe Morgoci declines his salary is 20,000 lei and says the protests are mastered by former managers of the company. “The financial problems are related to the economic and political crisis. The decision on the public conveyance fares and the procurement of trolleybuses are to be decided by the CMC. We have filed them the draft decision,” Morgoci said. Municipal councilor Mihai Severovan offered the protesters to take a break of 2-3 weeks. “After the parliamentary elections we'll go to them and talk. Not everything depends on the manager. The CMC also has its share of guilt fore the critical financial situation, because it does not adopt a real fare for the public conveyance and does not compensate the losses from the municipal budget,” the councilor said.
