Municipal authorities are concerned about low payment level to local budget

Municipal authorities and State Fiscal Inspectorate of Chisinau Municipality (IFSMC), are concerned about low payment level to local budget. The head (IFSMC) Procopie Duca, announced on Monday, 3 April, during operative meeting of the capital’s mayoralty that in the first 3 months of this year there were noticed increases to payments to national public and state budgets, but not the local one. Deputy mayor Petru Svet confirmed his concern for this situation made public on other occasions as well. He required to the head of municipal fiscal to answer the letter sent recently, in order to undertake additional measures to prevent damaging of the municipal budget. Duca said that there are drafted certain measures, including intensifying of the work with debtors in order to collect the tax on income and salary, etc. He required additional time to systemize definitely the proposals. Many mayors of Chisinau municipality reiterated their position that the insufficiency of fiscal preceptors in the territory is to be blamed, many units of the staff of mayoralties being liquidated by a government decision few years ago.
