A multiple-vehicle collision that involved a trolleybus occurred on Vasile Alecsandri St in Chisinau in the morning of January 26. The accident paralyzed traffic in the area for a period.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that the trolleybus struck in the back an Audi Q7, which, for its part, hit the car of the same make in front of it. The trolleybus driver admitted his guilt, saying he didn’t manage to brake owing to the slippery roadway. He faces a fine of 1,000 lei and six penalty points.
Contacted by IPN, head of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Gheorghe Morgoci said the trolleybus wasn’t seriously damaged. The competent bodies will determine who is to blame for the accident.
