Four dormitories of the Moldova State University (MSU), built in 1952, will be completely renovated through a public-private partnership project. Under a decision adopted by the Government, the Ministry of Education is to develop a feasibility study of the project, Info-Prim Neo reports. The housing capacity is 180 residents for each dorm. After the renovation it will rise up to 220 beds. The rooms will house two individuals, each two rooms having a commong sanitary block, a shower-room and a living room. Aditionally, there is going to be a new block with a twofold purpose: 160 beds of dorm type and 50 beds of hotel type, as well an autonomous boiler room to supply the renovated campus. The private party will receive their returns to investment from the sums paid by students in housing fees, and at the deadline that is to be decided by the public party, the dormitories will be used by the MSU. The expenses for the feasibility study will be covered by extra-budgetary funds of the MSU.
