Residential consumers will get subsidies for the consumed natural gas and heating following the rise in rates for these utilities. The relevant bill was given a final reading and was adopted by Parliament.
This way, the first 50 cubic meters of consumed gas will be 67% paid by the Government, while the next 100 cubic meters - in the amount of 50% of the difference between the current rate and the rate for October 2021.
The first gigacalorie of heat energy will also be covered in the amount of 67% for citizens whose dwellings are heated by the apartment building’s gas boiler.
The highest subsidy for natural gas will be 540 lei, while for the first consumed gigacalorie of heat energy will be 450 lei.
The natural gas rate for October 2021 was 4.64 lei per cubic meter, while for November is 11.08 lei. The difference between the rates is of 6.44 lei.
